An open letter from Harvst

To our customers and supporters, 

Harvst would like to share some super exciting news with you. We have just successfully closed our investment round, with SFC Capital as our lead investor to help us grow more! We intend to use these funds to develop the team, commercial partnerships and launch new products, but more on that to come!

Looking back, Harvst was founded on the windy coast of Cardigan in 2020, with the mission of helping people grow more at home. The following months saw the development of small, strong, polycarbonate mini-greenhouses which became more and more automated over time. 

The business launched two greenhouse models, and following immediate success moved into our dedicated workshop in central Cardigan town. Now two years on, we’re looking for our next home as we’re close to outgrowing the workshop!

In 2021, we launched our range of four mini-greenhouses, Sprout, which included more cost and space effective options, and our standalone smart watering system, WaterMate. Both product ranges were launched inline with our aim, to make gardening more accessible to those without much space or time. 

Harvst has grown from strength to strength building our business and product offering, and we believe the success of this investment round to be a real feather in our cap. Not only as our investors have endorsed who we are, what we’re doing and how we’re doing it, but particularly given the current economic outlook.

Finally, this investment brings greater visibility. Something we often hear from new customers is ‘I wish I’d known about you sooner’. The cash will allow us to increase our marketing efforts, putting us in front of customers who would have normally taken much longer to find us. 

We’re really pleased we have managed to secure more investment than we were originally looking for, as it gives us greater security and ability to deliver our plans. SFC Capital along with our other angel investors’ confidence and support in Harvst is a great way to end our second year in business.
