Growing food in a small space
If you have a small outdoor space, we have the perfect solution to help you achieve your dream of growing your own. A Sprout mini-greenhouse is the answer!
A Sprout mini greenhouse has a tiny footprint and will allow you to extend your growing season throughout the whole year, depending on which model you choose.
There are four Sprout models, S24, S14, S10 and S6, one of which will be perfect for your available space. These super clever mini greenhouses are built to last with a strong frame and protective polycarbonate panels. There are four different specifications to choose from; greenhouse only, solar, 3-season & 4-season.
There are a lot of things that can be grown till maturity in your Sprout greenhouse. Herbs such as basil, coriander, parsley, chive, mint, oregano and thyme will grow very well. All of these will happily grow outside in pots during the summer too. Greens such as spinach, chard, rocket, lettuce, pea shoots, microgreens, pak choi, mizuna, mibuna and tatsoi can also be grown all year round in the Sprout or outside in spring, summer and autumn. Radishes, beetroot and mini carrots can also be successfully grown for most of the year in your Sprout and in pots outside in the warmer months.
Heat loving plants such as tomatoes, cucumbers, dwarf french beans, chilli, peppers, aubergines and melons can be grown to maturity if a dwarf variety is chosen or they can be moved outside when they get bigger!
By utilising all the space that you have both inside the Sprout and outside using pots, you can grow more food than you could ever imagine. When looking at your growing area you should think about all of the space in your possession. That includes underground, on the ground and up in the air. Root veg need space under the soil to grow well, bushy plants need space just over the ground and climbing plants need space up in the air. By utilising all these different spaces you can grow a lot of what you need in a few square metres!
