Today, we have chosen to #boycottblackfriday, and as a result we'll be closing our shop and eCommerce today. You can shop as normal tomorrow, but now we have your attention we'd like to encourage you to participate in #GreenFriday today, too 😊 1. Do you really need it? 😶 That green blender looks great, and I know that it would go perfectly in your kitchen.. but you already have a perfectly good one hiding in the cupboards. Don't buy for the sake of it. 2. Do they really need it? 👀 We've all panic bought something for that coworker we got stuck with in secret santa - before you click purchase maybe try and figure out if there's something they actually need 3. New does not mean better 👗 There's an obsession and desire to buy things brand new, but sometimes you can find treasure in second hand or re gifted items. Instead of browsing ASOS for hours, why not pop to the local charity shop? 4. Time is the best gift 🎁 How much time do you spend browsing for the perfect gift, when you could be spending that time on a fun activity with the person you are buying for instead!? Sometimes the best gift we can give is time and memories 5. What will my impact be? 🌍 This is a deep one, but with every purchase we make - we need to ask ourselves what our impact will be on the world. We know. Most brands have been teasing their Black Friday deals for weeks and here we are; with nothing promoted days before the grand event.

Has the Harvst marketing department had a major slip up? No (... not this time 👀)

The truth is, we love a bargain as much as the next person, we really do - but encouraging over consumption just isn't something we stand by. We believe that our products are great, and of course we need to sell them in order to keep the warehouse lights on but we don't want you to buy one JUST because of a great deal.

We want customers that love their harvst product and use it to make the world a better, greener one, and if we're completely honest? Most of our prices are already incredibly competitive and it doesn't make sense to us to participate in a day that's traditionally for companies making huge profits.

With that being said, we'll be turning off our ecommerce this black friday, our deal is: buy fewer and buy better 🌍

You are the perfect candidate if you: - Are familiar with social media trends/ methods of content (reels, IGTV, stories) - Have your own recording and capturing equipment - Confident in front of the camera - LOVE gardening - Happy to write blogs and copy for our website - Would love to have your own Sprout mini greenhouse to grow things in! You will get a Sprout mini greenhouse as part of the process and we would work collaboratively on content creation ideas and topics 💚 Currently we’re looking for someone who would be available for one day (7.5 hours) per week for the foreseeable future, but this could expand as the brand grows! Here's some footage of Chris and Will setting up a WaterMate in someone's Polytunnel! We don't usually set up irrigation systems because we're so busy with packing and sending out orders, but we made a special exception here 😊

We've already had lots of people ordering WaterMate systems to fit whilst they decomission their Polytunnel or greenhouse for the winter or as Christmas presents for their loved ones!

If you know someone who has a busy schedule but loves to grow, an automatic irrigation system could be a great gift for them this festive season 🎄🎅
